Hi! I'm Melody, artist and owner of Whisker & Wings
I've been creating art since I could hold a crayon. My love of animals and wildlife inspires me every day. I began this journey when I decided to start my own business in early 2020 (due to leaving my career during the pandemic). I started offering custom pet portraits on live edge wood, stone and slate. I thought it would be a great part-time thing to keep me busy until my job resumed. However, the orders came in, and the business grew quickly, enough so that I could turn this into a fulltime gig! I've even shipped my portraits and jewellery internationally!
In 2021 I started offering memorial keepsakes with embedded ashes, hair, mane fur and funeral flowers in jewellery, keychains and holding hearts. I work with both pets and loved ones' inclusions. It's been a rewarding and emotional journey and I'm so very grateful to have the opportunity to create these treasured keepsakes!
